Guide for Authors

 

Ensure that the following items are present:

One author has been assigned as the corresponding author with contact details: Email address, full personal address.

All necessary files have been uploaded: the manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft office word format.

All authors’ information, especially their affiliations, are provided in Persian and English.

Ethics in publishing

IJAP subscribes to the principles of ethical publishing statements. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the author(s) and the institutions that support them. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all participants in the activity of publishing. Below you will find the major ethical policies useful for author(s).

  • The manuscript should not be published elsewhere unless in the form of a short report, an abstract or a lecture.
  • It must not be submitted in another journal simultaneously.
  • Authors avoid submitting the accepted manuscript to another Persian scientific journal. (MSRT permits the double publication of a Persian published manuscript in another language, provided that the published paper is cited clearly and mentioned in acknowledgement.)
  • Authors should disclose any conflict of interest.
  • All sources of financial support for the work should be disclosed.
  • Authors should ensure that they have critical contribution in the reported work and that any contribution in the manuscript have been considered properly.
  • Authors are expected to consider carefully the list of authors and their order before submitting their manuscript. Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of authors’ names after acceptance of the manuscript is impossible.

Article structure

Manuscript should be prepared as described below.

Language

The manuscript should be prepared in Persian. The abstract and author name and affiliation must be written in Persian and English separately.

Typesetting

  1. The article should be provided in Farsi (Persian) and in Microsoft Word with maximum 20 A4 pages.
  2.  The main text of the article should be set with the B Nazanin font/size 12 pt.
  3.  The title of the article should be inserted with a Bold B Nazanin font/ size 16 pt and the names of the authors of the article with a B Nazanin font/size 12 pt.
  4. The English abstract should be prepared with Times New Roman font/ size pt12.
  5. The line separating is 1.5 and all pages are numbered accordingly.
  6. Margins are selected 2.5cm from each side of the paper.
  7. The manuscript doesn’t exceed 20 pages.
  8. Keywords (3 to 5 items) are provided at the ends of Persian and English abstracts.

Figures and tables: ensure that each figure is numbered properly and any illustration has a caption below the figure.  Please, submit tables as editable text and not as images. Prepare a concise and descriptive caption for each table with a proper number above the table.

References

Please, ensure that every reference, which is cited in the text, is also present in the reference list. The standard reference style of the references is described below.
