The study of digital microscopy and its application in image formation and measurement

Abstract

In this paper, a digital microscope that equipped with a CCD imaging sensor is presented to study the physical properties of object images. We use image analysis software to capture and measure the size of the objects in the pixel scale. In size determination experiments, any direct contact measuring method may cause errors in the tested samples. But in the reported measuring method by capturing image without any the physical contact the size of the object under study can be determined with the minimum error. The digital microscope can also enhance the image size and image quality and thus enhances the accuracy of the results. However, like the other methods, this method has the small error percentage for the measurements.
